CITIZENS' SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION OF TEMECULA VALLEY
SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ELIGIBLE HIGH SCHOOL SENIORSThe Citizens' Scholarship Foundation of Temecula Valley is a nonprofit organization that provides financial aid to Temecula Valley High School, Chaparral High School and Great Oak High School seniors aspiring to higher education.
Since its beginning in 1987, the foundation has awarded over $1 million in scholarships to graduating seniors. The foundation does not choose who gets a scholarship; local businesses, community organizations and community members set the criteria students should meet to receive any scholarship money. The foundation does require that students who apply have a minimum grade-point average of 3.0. Donors will then select students based on school activities, sports, college they plan to attend, or other criteria.
Many local PTA units (elementary, middle and high schools) in the Temecula Valley Unified School District offer high school scholarships through the Citizens' Scholarship Foundation of Temecula Valley. Most PTA/PTSAs require that students be PTSA members at their high school. Some also require community service. Requirements vary from PTA to PTA. Visit the Foundation website at http://www.temeculacsf.org. Look for the application at the TVHS Career Center soon after the beginning of the second semester of your graduating year or download a printable scholarship application from their website. Be sure to include your membership with PTSA when filling out this scholarship application to be eligible to receive PTA/PTSA scholarships!
